Where we stayed

We stayed at Hotel H33 which is centrally located in the heart of Nice. The closest metro station was within 5 minutes of walking distance while the city center or the beach could be reached within 10 minutes, moreover, the train station was 15 minutes away. It was very convenient as every second day we traveled to another city along the Cote d’Azur with the train.

We stayed in a smaller room which was well-equipped with everything we needed. Considering that we were in France (and we heard crazy stories) the staff was extremely nice and helpful.

TIP: when booking the accommodation, the hotel was not the most important aspect of our trip as we spent most of our holiday exploring the nearby cities and beaches. If you plan on a similar trip, the place is highly recommended while if you are looking for more amenities maybe consider other options!

Cities we visited

Fragonard fragrance and cosmetic factory in Éze

Éze

Éze is a cute hidden gem with a 20-30 minute bus ride from Nice! If you go, don’t miss out on the famous Fragonard factory offering free walking tours, scent experiences, and discounted prices on their products also loved by Leonardo DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid.

TIP: the bus ride can be bumpy :)

View of Ville-Franche sur Mer.

Ville-Franche Sur Mer

This was our go-to village to enjoy the sea and the beach. Here you will find less crowded and sandy beaches while in Nice and many other cities, the beaches are rocky.

People are super kind :)

(we met an older local who told us stories about the village and his life growing up there)

Eszti and the world famous Fairmont Hairpin

Monaco

If you are in Cote d’Azur you cannot miss Monaco. We dedicated a day to walking around the famous F1 track and seeing the car collection of the Prince of Monaco.

To cater to the non-F1 fans we visited a temporary exhibition of Monet’s paintings of the region.
